Who We Are - Farmers
Microgrown Market is a cannabinoid store located in Upper Chichester, Pennsylvania, serving Delaware County and the surrounding area. Microgrown Market is wholly owned and operated by a husband and wife team: Matt and Debbie. Matt and Debbie were married in 1988 and are now retired from respective 40 year long careers. They were in search of a more rewarding, less stressful second career.
With the historic passing of the 2018 Farm Bill which legalized hemp production for the first time since 1937, Matt began to dive into the world of cannabinoids and hemp farming. Microgrown Farm, LLC received a PA state license to grow hemp in the spring of 2019. He grew a few unique varieties of high CBD hemp strains on our “micro” farm for 3 years. This hands on growing experience gave us insight and understanding about cannabis that is rarely, if ever, seen in a retail dispensary.
Debbie and I have studied hard and became educated about the exciting, newly emerging, and ever changing field of phytocannabinoids. We are always educating ourselves about the latest cannabinoids and cannabinoid research. We can:
- Sort through the myths and misinformation about cannabis, hemp and marijuana and answer your questions definitively and clearly.
- Guide you to the proper cannabinoid or combination of cannabinoids for your specific ailment and explain what you can realistically expect from that treatment.
- Guide you through questions like dosing, frequency and time of day.
Our Mission
Microgrown grew out of three years of hands-on cannabinoid farming. From 2019 to 2022 we grew high-CBD hemp on our own micro farm under PA state license, working with the plant before we ever worked behind a counter. That experience shapes how we run the shop today.
We make many of our own products. Everything we don’t make ourselves, we vet carefully. When the label says a product contains a certain cannabinoid at a certain percentage, that’s because it actually does — we’ve checked, or we made it. Quality can be assumed and proven.
What we sell is only half of what we do. The other half is helping customers sort through what works, what doesn’t, and what dose makes sense. Come in with questions; leave with answers and a product you understand. It’s known with Microgrown.

I learned more talking with Matt for 2 hours than I've EVER learned from talking to a multitude of other sources combined! He really cares about helping people. He and his wife even stayed past closing time, because they said that helping us was more important than closing up and going home. Like, who does that anymore??? THEY DO. It's not just a "store", it's a fellowship. The products really seem to be helping so far. I wil definitely be returning and will continue to expand and broaden my knowledge. Many blessings!
